  • CLC's Annual Awards Banquet will be Friday, May 21, 2010, 5:30 p.m. at The Hilton Chicago.  Sr. Catherine M. Ryan, O.S.F., Executive Director of Maryville Academy, will be receiving the prestigious Cardinal Bernardin Award.  Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd. will be the Charles J. O'Laughlin Memorial Award Recipient and the James D. Jacobson Memorial Award will be bestowed upon David M. Dabertin.  A 2008 Azure 279 AZ (27 Ft) Speedboat will be featured in the live auction.  Raffle prizes include $2,500 cash; a bed and breakfast stay at the charming White Swan Inn plus dinner at The Clubhouse Inn in Lake Geneva, WI; and an Apple iPod Touch 32 GB.  For more information, contact specialevents@clclaw.org.  
  • The law firm of Bryan Cave LLP sponsored a law student internship at the Clinic.  Chicago-Kent student Lillian M. McCartin provided services to immigration clients at the Pilsen Office while gaining invaluable experience.    
  • Keith Harley, the Clinic's Environmental Law Program Director, spoke at an Environmental Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 19-20 at the request of Northwestern University.  The Conference brought together representatives from Northwestern, Cambridge, Tufts, the University of Michigan, Beijing University and Sao Paolo University to discuss emerging solutions for global environmental issues.
